She spent three decades at Westmark School, where she supported students with learning differences and developed programs to help them thrive academically and socially.
As an IEP Coordinator, Jodie coordinated and scheduled more than 100 annual IEP meetings for students in grades 2–12. She served as a liaison between families, school districts, and evaluators to ensure clear communication and timely completion of neuropsychological assessments. She built strong district partnerships to streamline the IEP process, guided parents through each step with clarity and compassion, collaborated with teachers to develop and revise goals, and worked closely with administration to ensure proper documentation and follow-up. She also participated in parent conferences and conducted meetings in the absence of administrators.
In her role as an Instructional Coach, Jodie mentored new teachers across multiple subject areas, offering guidance in lesson planning, curriculum development, assessment practices, data analysis, and classroom management. She designed a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) observation tool to strengthen instructional practices and regularly observed classrooms, providing actionable feedback aligned with UDL principles. Jodie led weekly faculty meetings focused on curriculum pacing, instructional strategies, and student progress; organized and facilitated professional development sessions on UDL; led a UDL book club; and supported teachers with classroom management strategies tailored to diverse learners.
Jodie holds a CLEAR credential in Special Education, reflecting extensive expertise in supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities. A dedicated advocate for students with special needs, she partners with families to help them navigate the IEP process with confidence.

Jodie has been transformative for my daughter. As a teen with ADHD and executive function challenges, my daughter has thrived in high school thanks to Jodie’s support. Her approach is both firm and flexible, and she has a gift for seamlessly integrating executive function skills into their work together. Jodie has been the perfect fit for our family, and we're grateful for the confidence and success she's helped my daughter achieve.
Aimee truly wears many hats as a teacher, and she does it all with confidence, skill, and so much heart. She works with students of different ages, abilities, and needs, and she has a special way of meeting each child exactly where they are. Her support is thoughtful, personalized, and makes a real difference. She is incredibly attentive and kind, creating a classroom that feels safe, welcoming, and caring. Because of that, her students feel comfortable taking risks and growing. Aimee has a natural gift for noticing where a child might be struggling and gently guiding them forward, helping them build confidence, catch up, and truly thrive.
Jodie is a true master in her field. With years of experience, a finely tuned radar for understanding children’s individual needs, and an uncanny ability to connect with her students, she consistently sets them up for success. Jodie sees the whole picture—academically, emotionally, and developmentally, and gets involved in every aspect of the process to ensure meaningful progress. I’ve known her for over 25 years and wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to refer any family whose child is struggling in school. She is exceptional at what she does.
Aimee is an exceptional educator whose warmth, dedication, and intuition make a real difference in her students’ lives. She is amazing with kids and never gives up on them, noticing the small things - when a child is unsure, when confidence is wavering, or when extra encouragement is needed - and responding with patience, positivity, and thoughtful guidance. Her students not only grow academically but gain confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. She is a gift to any school community and the students she supports.
Jodie is truly the best special education professional I know. We worked together for 13 years when I was a school counselor and she was a teacher. Her insight into her students' challenges was always spot on and she was able to quickly adjust her lessons to offer individual support within a classroom of students. Jodie, as a mother herself, was able to gently guide her students’ parents to understanding and supporting learning differences. She is someone you always want in your corner.
I’ve had the chance to see Jodie work one-on-one with students, and it’s truly impressive. She has a gift for making math make sense, breaking down concepts in a way that builds both skills and confidence. Her patience and encouragement help students feel comfortable and capable. With Jodie's background in special education, she naturally adapts to each child’s unique learning style and needs. I would confidently recommend her to any family looking for a caring, effective, and dedicated math tutor.
As a long-time educational professional, Jodie has been such a gift to our adopted son. Jodie is well connected in the educational community and uniquely understands both evidence-based interventions while also being familiar with the complexities of the school system. Apart from her professional experience and knowledge our son is happy to work with her - even after a long day of school! He has multiple learning challenges and the extra intervention with Jodie comes after school which can be hard for him to feel motivated about. That has not been the case for him and his skill gaps are closing! Jodie is very transparent, collaborative, and keeps us informed of our son's progress and what they are working on, always maintaining the bridge between home and school.
Jodie is a fantastic educator with years of experience supporting students with a variety of learning needs. I worked closely with Jodie and saw, first hand, the connections that she makes with students of all ages. She approaches learning through her research-based lens and provides support to her students to build independence in their learning.
Ms. Katofsky is an expert at teaching students to study skill techniques. She truly cares about her students and their success.
